How to export keywords from Google Analytics?
How to get keywords from Google Analytics?
- Login to Google Analytics.
- Go to Traffic Sources.
- Click Keywords tab.
- For Show rows select 200+ keywords.
Why is it so important to export AS MANY keywords AS POSSIBLE instead of taking just those which bring most traffic?
If you receive only 5 visitors per month for a keyword, it doesn't mean it's not popular. Why? What if your site is only on 3rd page of Google SERPs for this keyword?! Can you imagine how many visitors you'll receive if you get from the 3rd to the 1st page for that keyword?!
- Now you need to select keywords FREE from other data. There are 2 options how you can do that:
OPTION I.
- Simply select all keywords along with other data in the table using your mouse.
- Copy & paste this selected content into Excel spreadsheet.
- Using Sort & Filter button sort data in column A from Z to A.
Done! Now you've got a list of keywords free from all other data.
- OPTION II.
- Click Export button (you can find it in the header of Analytics Panel). Export data to CSV file.
- Open the Excel.
- Open the Data tab.
- Click From Text button.
- Select saved to your computer CSV file & click Import.
- Click Next button.
- Select Comma separator & click Next button.
- Click Finish button. Click Ok button.
Done! Now you've got a list of keywords free from all other data.
